As we mentioned before, the release of David Horowitz's One-Party Classroom forced us to go through the whole fact-checking enterprise that we went through in 2006's Facts Count. Three years later, and we're back in the same place - and yes, facts still count. Today, the Free Exchange coalition is releasing Facts Still Count, which examines some of the claims made in Horowitz's new book. While the book is new (well, kind of new, if you ignore the recycling of previous material), the story is the same one that we've been telling now for years: Horowitz makes exaggerated claims based on faulty and distorted evidence. While the rest of the country is discussing higher education's role in an economic recovery, Horowitz is rehashing the same old discredited story. It's time to move on.
